One of the things that Jess and Dan love to do together is hike – in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, or on their trips away together. We decided that the invitations should reflect their love of nature, and carry the color themes of the wedding: a vivacious green, and simple, crisp black & white. A visit to their apartment showcases their design aesthetic: large framed vintage posters and nature photography, minimal modern furniture and textured accents. I was envisioning clean lines and modern, sans-serif font – but also a little bit of whimsy – not so serious for these two.
Jess sent me some photos of their favorite mountain range, and I scanned them, and created shapes by tracing the line of the mountain range silhouette. In photoshop I layered the mountain ranges and then added a worn-texture on top for a more vintage feel to soften the simple lines.

Look at that gorgeous bouquet. The wedding cake (by Lona from LonaCakes.com) was themed like the green mountains in the invitations – so nice, and delicious!
Happy Wedding (and now, Marriage) Jess & Dan!
